Thursday Night Football: Washington vs. Vikings

You can root for both teams to lose. That’s OK, too.

We are almost halfway through the 2019 NFL season, and Week 8 will kickoff with a Thursday Night Football game, featuring the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings.

Washington is currently 1-6 and at the bottom of the NFC East — there isn’t also a lot of hope that things turn around in the second half of the season. The Vikings, however, are 5-2 and in second place (behind the Packers) in the NFC North.

Two former Eagles, RB Wendell Smallwood and DT Treyvon Hester, are both now suiting up for Washington. Smallwood has seen an increase in offensive snaps (35% in Week 7), and has also spent time on special teams. Hester has seen only a smattering of defensive snaps so far this season, but has also been used on special teams.

Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s game.
