Eagles Injury Report: Nigel Bradham among six players missing practice

The latest on the big Week 7 NFC East matchup.

Philadelphia Eagles vMinnesota Vikings

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their second official injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 7 Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Jalen Mills practiced again today. He’s still on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, which is why he’s not listed on the injury report. The Eagles still have an open spot that they could use to activate him to the 53-man roster.

Six players did not participate in practice: DeSean Jackson, Nigel Bradham, Jason Peters, Avonte Maddox, Timmy Jernigan, and Darren Sproles.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo says he doesn’t expect Jackson to play this week. The fact that Jackson hasn’t practiced lines up with that sentiment. Not ideal to be missing him once again.

Bradham is poised to miss this week’s game as well. The Eagles will likely have Nathan Gerry, Kamu Gruger-Hill, and T.J. Edwards as their three main linebackers. Duke Riley and the recently promoted Alex Singleton figure to contribute on special teams.

Peters, Maddox, Jernigan, and Sproles are also all on pace to be out this week.

For the second day in a row, Ronald Darby was a limited participant.

Seems like Darby might have a chance to play this weekend. If not this week, maybe he could be back for Week 8.

Fletcher Cox was a full participant on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice due to illness.

We’ll learn more about the team’s injury situation when they put out their second injury report tomorrow afternoon.

DALLAS COWBOYS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)

The Cowboys received some good news with starting offensive tackles Tyron Smith and La’el Collins returning to practice, albeit in a limited capacity. Perhaps they’ll both play on Sunday.

Starting wide receiver Amari Cooper, starting cornerback Byron Jones, starting cornerback Anthony Brown, and starting slot wide receiver Randall Cobb all missed practice for the second day in a row. Not a good sign for them. Cooper did say he plans to try to practice on Friday and test things out, so we’ll see how that goes.

Starting right guard Zack Martin was downgraded to not practicing after being limited on Wednesday. Worth keeping an eye on, but perhaps just rest?

Backup center Joe Looney was a new addition to the injury report. He didn’t practice due to a back issue.
