With Eagles fans everywhere holding their collective breath as former kicker Cody Parkey took the field — in range — to put the Bears up by two points with mere seconds left, head coach Doug Pederson did as expected and called a time out.
It was one of the few instances in which icing the kicker worked, and on the next snap, Parkey’s kick bounced off the left upright and down to the crossbar before ultimately dropping back on the field. A double doink gave the Eagles the win and kept their postseason run alive!

Parkey has struggled throughout the season, and it came to fruition at the most opportune time for the Eagles. The kicker did make three field goals earlier in the game, and wasn’t given an opportunity to kick an extra point after their only touchdown of the night — which would have tied things up at 16.
Sucks for Parkey, but man, what an ending to a very up and down game for the Eagles.
DOUBLE DOINK FOR THE WIN!!!
FIRST UPDATE: Credit Eagles defensive tackle Treyvon Hester for tipping the kick!
Here’s a frame-by-frame look that clearly shows the Parkey kick was tipped by Treyvon Hester (Hester confirmed to @Bo_Wulf he tipped it). pic.twitter.com/6dOXui7Yyp
