UPDATE #2: Now we know that Brooks has torn his Achilles. Tough break for the OG who has a long recovery ahead of him. Sidney Jones was out just more than 9 months with the same injury, so Brooks being ready for the start of the 2019 season might be a stretch.
Wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the well wishes. Yeah it sucks I tore my Achilles but you know what I look forward to attacking rehab like it’s a game. I look forward to this long journey. God got me and this did nothing but light a fire I needed

UPDATE: It doesn’t look like Brooks will be back against New Orleans with what is being reported as a serious injury.
#Eagles Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks suffered a serious lower leg injury and is out indefinitely, source said. Unlikely he plays again this season. A huge blow for Philly’s offense.

Things started out with a bang for the Eagles on Sunday against the Saints, but on their second offensive drive, Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks went down with what appeared to be a right lower leg injury and was then carted off the field.
Injury Update: G Brandon Brooks (leg) is questionable to return.

He was quickly surrounded by teammates, but didn’t take off his helmet as he made his exit off the field. Brooks was replaced by Stefen Wisniewski with just over five minutes left to play in the first quarter, who went on to score to finish the drive, and up their lead 14-0.
Brooks has been one of the anchors of an oft-changing and injured offensive line, and earned every one of his Pro Bowl votes this season. He’ll be a tough guy to replace, but his loss will hopefully serve as additional motivation for an Eagles offense that was already rolling in the divisional round of the playoffs.
