Eagles will wear their undefeated jersey combination for the Saints rematch

The New Orleans Saints have already made a HUGE mistake ahead of their 2019 Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

By opting to wear their standard home uniforms, the Saints have allowed the Eagles to wear their all-white road uniforms. The Eagles are undefeated in their all-white jersey combination this season.

You might be tempted to say: “It’s just a jersey color, it doesn’t mean anything.” And while you’re probably right, you’re actually dead wrong.

Last time the Eagles played the Saints, it was New Orleans who wore all-white uniforms since Doug Pederson won a golf bet with Sean Payton in the offseason. The Saints won that Week 11 game, 48 to 7.

Some may theorize Payton hustled Pederson by intentionally losing the golf bet so the Eagles would be lured into a false sense of security. After all, the Eagles were undefeated in their midnight green jerseys in 2017. But even smarter observers will realize it was Pederson hustling Payton all along, making the Saints think they don’t even need to worry too hard about beating the Eagles a second time after blowing them out so easily the first time. Sacrificing a regular season game to win a postseason game: genius.

Okay so none of that is probably true but whatever. The Eagles have been winning in white so here’s to hoping they keep it going.
