The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced the inactives list for their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The following players will NOT play: Carson Wentz, Alshon Jeffery, Chance Warmack, Matt Pryor, Jordan Mailata, and Josh Sweat.
None of these inactives come as a surprise.
Wentz and Jeffery were officially ruled out on Wednesday. Both players participated in workouts prior to Thursday night’s game. Both of them looked pretty healthy and good.
Warmack, Pryor, and Mailata are inactive which still leaves the Eagles with seven active linemen; Isaac Seumalo (interior) and Halapoulivaati Vaitai (tackle) will back up the five starters.
Sweat is a healthy scratch since the Eagles have four defensive ends ahead of him. Along with Pryor and Mailata, he’s one of three 2018 NFL Draft picks who will be inactive tonight. The only two draft picks who WILL be active include: Dallas Goedert and Avonte Maddox. Also worth noting undrafted rookie free agent defensive tackle Bruce Hector will suit up for the game.
In other injury news, note that Mack Hollins was placed on the injured reserve list on Thursday afternoon.
