The Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles have near completely remade their secondary in the past couple of years and possess a mix of talent youth and proven veterans. With the nickel spot now decided with Sidney Jones and the outside cornerback spots being held down by Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby, I reach out to an expert on the topic to discuss his thoughts on the Eagles defensive backfield.
Former NFL/AFL defensive back Eric Crocker of Fourth and Nine joined me for episode 4 of Fireside Chats and we discussed not only the Eagles players but defensive back play as a whole. Having written extensively about Darby’s potential, Mills’ volatility, Jones’ hype, and recently about newcomer Deiondre’ Hall, I found this conversation particularly enlightening. Crocker can be found on Twitter @Eric_Crocker breaking down coverage reps and he’s a great follow that will teach you more about the game.
