The Eagles won today and the Cowboys lost

It’s true.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Today became a good day when the Eagles beat the Colts.

Then it became even better when the Cowboys lost to the Seahawks.

Things would’ve been perfect if the Giants and Redskins lost as well, but alas, they did not.

But back to the Cowboys. Dallas is now 1-2 after dropping a game in Seattle, 24-13.

It’s funny because Cowboys fans were feeling very optimistic after beating up on a bad Giants team last week. Now they’re probably ready to give up on the season again.

To no surprise, the quarterback position has been a big problem for the Cowboys this year. Through the first three games, Dak Prescott has completed 63% of his passes for 498 yards (a mere 5.7 average), two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 74.9 passer rating. That’s bad.

In fairness, Dak isn’t the only reason that Dallas struggling. He’s a big part of it, make no mistake, but it’s not like their defense is amazing. They could really use a play-making safety on the back end. If only a guy like that was available to them.

In seriousness, it’d be pretty dumb for the Cowboys to trade for Thomas. Acquiring him isn’t going to fix their quarterback problem. Not to mention it seems like it’s going to take a first-round pick at this point since Seattle has reportedly turned down the Cowboys’ offer of a second for Thomas. Dallas needs to keep their picks in order to draft a new quarterback who’s actually good.

So here’s hoping for Jerry Jones to make a panic trade.

Also wouldn’t mind the Cowboys getting hit with a penalty for seemingly tampering.
