Sunday Night Football: Cowboys vs. Giants game time, live streaming, how to watch, more

The second week of Sunday’s NFL action ends this evening with a Sunday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

It’s an NFC East battle with each side looking to avoid dropping to 0-2.

Here’s a look at how Philadelphia Eagles fans voted regarding their rooting interest in this game. As you can see, the majority is rooting against the Cowboys.

And here’s my take on the game, from earlier today:

This is a tough one. But first of all, don’t say you’re rooting for a tie. That’s just unlikely and it’s actually less damaging for both teams to tie than it is for one to lose. Let’s be smarter than that. The goal here is for the bigger threat to the Eagles to lose. With that in mind, I think there’s an argument to be made the Giants actually have a higher ceiling than the Cowboys do. We’ve seen Eli Manning and the Giants inexplicably get hot before. That was a different regime, of course, and I’m not fully expecting them to do that again, but I think it’s at least possible. I think I feel less threatened by the Cowboys considering Dak Prescott doesn’t look good and their coaching staff is even more incompetent than Pat Shurmur’s. So with that in mind, a Giants loss could be preferable. But then again, seeing Cowboys fans lose their minds as their team falls to 0-2 would be pretty sweet. But then again then again, it’d be better for Dallas to fool themselves into thinking Prescott is their long-term answer at quarterback as they top out around 8-8. I’m going to say this is almost a win-win for Eagles fans considering one of these teams is going to face a very big uphill battle after dropping to 0-2. Root against the Giants, I guess.

No matter what happens, it’s good to know at least one of these two NFC East rivals will be 0-2 after tonight. (Barring a tie.)
