The Kist & Solak Show took it’s last look at the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles 18-12 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the season opener, and it was a deep one. With the coaches film released, we got into all the nerdy details and re-examined the game with a birds eye view.
One standout from watching the film was how Fletcher Cox dominated the Falcons’ offensive line while receiving extra attention on 27 of his 46 pass rush snaps. This, paired with a dynamic performance from the defense backs were the real winners when we put the game under a magnifying glass.
We also talked players that impressed more than we initially thought on the live view and those who weren’t as good as advertised the second time around. Plus, Nick Foles is back to holding onto the ball again but thankfully Jason Peters is back to hold down the fort.
Also, the projected positive regression to the mean regarding red zone running is real. Jay Ajayi scored on an expertly executed pin/pull concept that the gang analyzed in loving detail.
All that and more on episode 8 of The Kist & Solak Show. Stream it on the player below or click here if it doesn’t load and find out what it will take for Solak to buy a Derek Barnett jersey.
As always, thank you for getting us over 400 five star ratings on iTunes in less than a month since the relaunch! Keep ‘em coming and we’ll keep bringing you the best analysis in the game. Fly Eagles fly!
