Ever since he signed with the Eagles, Chris Long has talked about wanting to spend a lot of time near his teammate Fletcher Cox.
The two first combined to form a “Long Cox” sighting back in May 2017.

But the hijinx did not end there.
Long later got together with another teammate, Lane Johnson, to form “Long Johnson.” It also happens that Darrell Greene got involved (whether that was intentional or not) to form “Long Greene Johnson.”

Real subtle, guys.
But you know what wasn’t subtle? When Cox straight up said THIS during the Eagles’ preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.

I mean, you DO have to love Long Cox. They’re both really good players. Cox was especially good tonight. He looks like he’s genuinely ready to chase that Defensive Player of the Year award goal he made earlier this offseason.
You also have to love Long Cox because it’s a reminder that this team has personality. It’s just a fun group.
Long live Long Cox.
