Eagles vs. Steelers preseason 2018: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, channel and more

Learn more about the Philadelphia-Pittsburgh preseason matchup set to take place Thursday evening.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles football is BACK. Kind of.

The reigning Super Bowl champions are set to play in their first game since winning a world championship back on February 4. Unlike that game, this one will be meaningless since it’s only preseason football. But hey, it’s better than nothing at all.

The Eagles are set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7:00 PM ET on Thursday evening during the first week of the 2018 NFL preseason schedule.

Philadelphia’s starters will likely only play a series or two, so expect around 10 snaps at most. Carson Wentz and Nick Foles are expected to be out while the team is being cautious with their health. If that’s the case, Nate Sudfeld will start at quarterback. He’ll get a good amount of playing time before Joe Callahan takes over. Are you not entertained?

Although the game’s outcome may be meaningless, it’s still interesting to watch players compete for jobs on the 53-man roster. Preseason football also gives us our first glimpse at new players and rookies.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
