No Philadelphia Eagles training camp practice today

Rest day for the Eagles.

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Philadelphia Eagles Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles have their second training camp rest day today since players originally reported to the NovaCare Complex last month on Wednesday, July 25.

This past week was a pretty physical stretch as far as today’s NFL standards go. The Eagles went through live tackling drills on both Tuesday and Thursday.

Now the defending Super Bowl champions will have a chance to rest up before returning to practice tomorrow, Sunday, August 5 at Lincoln Financial Field (7:00 PM ET start time). It’s the first of two Eagles training camp practices open to the fans. Hopefully you got your tickets in time because both events are sold out.

The Eagles will return to NovaCare for practices (closed to everyone except media and invited guests) on Monday and Tuesday before having a walk-through on Wednesday. Then it’s the Eagles versus the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Linc on Thursday night! The first preseason game is just days away.

Even with no practice today, BGN will still have plenty of off-day coverage for your consumption. It’s a pretty important day with Brian Dawkins getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Kind of a big deal!

Here’s a Twitter feed to keep up with any updates that may take place.
