Quick observations

  • Lots of playing time for Jordan Mailata. The Australian continues to draw RAVE reviews:
  • It was a little interesting to see Big V playing into the second quarter. Guess the Eagles wanted to get his confidence back up after two really rough weeks.
  • Donnel Pumphrey and Markus Wheaton were both limited in their preseason debuts. Outside of Toby Weathersby, they played the fewest snaps of any offensive players.
  • De’Vante Bausby, who is firmly on the roster bubble, played the entire game last night. So did Tre Sullivan, who finds himself in a similar boat. I think the Eagles were trying to give them every chance they could to prove they should stick around. We’ll see if they do.
  • Chandon Sullivan received a good chunk of playing time and logged an interception. I’d like to see him on the practice squad.
