Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...

Only one more month until Eagles legend Brian Dawkins is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 4.

Searching for Eagles franchise records to break or rebreak in 2018 - BGN
The cautious optimism that once permeated talk of Wentz’s recovery has morphed into a growing confidence that the young star will be ready Week 1. If this trend holds up, there’s the potential for Wentz to not only reach his 2017 marks, but shatter them. As noted, Wentz’s holds the Eagles record for most attempts (607), completions (379), and touchdowns (33), claiming them in his second year as a pro. Coming into his third year, Wentz will have to block out any doubt that his injury may have caused to resume being the best young quarterback in the league. One factor that he has in his corner is what some have called photographic memory. He’s had a second full offseason to analyze and commit to memory what defenses are cooking up to use against him. Using that new information, it’s my belief that Wentz will adjust to defenses quicker than defenses can adjust to him.

Nate Sudfeld Is A Big QB Story This Summer - PE.com
If Sudfeld keeps trending in the right direction, well, then this quarterback picture looks set for many years to come. They can confidently move forward with Wentz, one of the best players in the league. Foles is here through ’19 if both sides want that. Sudfeld, then, projects as a No. 2 whom the Eagles think can win if he’s needed to start or come on in relief. Heck, the team was impressed with Joe Callahan in the spring, so maybe he hangs around for some continued development. No question, the quarterback is in the eye of the (camera) lens this summer. But it’s not just Wentz. Nor is it necessarily Foles, the Super Bowl hero. Include Sudfeld in the conversation, and prepare for a heavy dose of the third-year player, because his development is critical in the long-term plans the team has at the game’s most important position.

More on Sustaining Success - Iggles Blitz
Dwayne Joseph and his pro personnel staff have hit some major home runs in free agency, both with big money players and bargain buys. From Alshon Jeffery to Bryan Braman, veteran additions came up huge last season. Howie Roseman gives the team an X-factor with his ability to make trades and creatively find talent. No one thought the Eagles would be adding Michael Bennett this offseason. Moving back to the middle of the second round and still getting Dallas Goedert? I would never have guessed that possible.

Fantasy football sleepers, busts, breakouts for 2018 - ESPN
Three analysts project Jay Ajayi to be a fantasy bust.

Roob’s 10 observations: Brilliance of Jake Elliott, Eagles’ comeback wins, wild Wendell Smallwood prediction - NBC Sports Philadelphia
I watched Corey Clement’s Super Bowl TD catch about 17,000 times the past few days and once you get beyond trying to figure out whether it really was a touchdown (it was), you have to consider that this was not only an undrafted rookie running back making this remarkable catch surrounded by three defenders in the back of the end zone but an undrafted rookie running back who had 10 catches in the entire regular season. I don’t know how you explain some of the things that happened with this team last year. Magic, I guess.

‘I’m not washed up’: Vick the main draw of American Flag Football League - The Score
“It’s not going to be easy by any stretch,” Michael Vick told theScore. “At the same time, I’ll tell everybody this: I made four Pro Bowls. I’m still a professional. I’m not washed up. I’m not a bum - not yet.” Vick’s Roadrunners will battle Ocho, a team captained by former NFL receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Friday night in Atlanta in the semifinals of the professional bracket.

A look ahead at the 2019 free agency class for fantasy - PFF
With Carson Wentz on track to be ready for the start of the season, Foles returns to a backup role. The Cinderella run he put together in 2017 was a great story but doesn’t necessarily help his fantasy value despite how well he played. The Eagles will not franchise a backup quarterback heading into 2019 unless Wentz were to get hurt again. While Foles thrived in the Doug Pederson offense last season that he first learned as a backup in Kansas City, he has finished as a top-25 fantasy QB just once in his six years in the league.

The All-NFC East Offensive Line - Hogs Haven
The voting was skewed a bit. Naturally, since this is a Redskins website, Redskin fans were heavily represented, but reading through the comments and looking at the results of the voting indicated to me that the Eagles fans — possibly still flush from their team’s super bowl victory — traveled very well and voted early and often, while the Dallas Cowboys fans, surprisingly, didn’t really show up.

Steve McNair’s death weighs on the NFL every Fourth of July - SB Nation
Anxiety reigns among NFL leadership during the July 4 holiday. All recognize its reverent meaning for the nation. But it is also a signature offseason event that can result in accidents and even tragedy for NFL players. NFL defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, blew off part of his right hand four years ago toying with fireworks on July 4 while a member of the Giants. Tragically, NFL legendary quarterback Steve McNair was murdered nine years ago on this holiday.
