With the first Philadelphia Eagles training camp practice beginning on THURSDAY, JULY 26 now is a great time to update the people you follow on Twitter. (Or sign up for an account if you don’t have one.) The following is a list of Eagles players, writers, etc., who you should be following heading into training camp.
With Eagles training camp being closed to the public (save for two open practices), following along on Twitter is the best way to keep track of everything in real-time: practice highlights, news, injuries, quotes, etc. Besides staying tuned here to Bleeding Green Nation, of course.
Disclaimer: I’m always bound to miss some people, perhaps some obvious ones. If I did, it was probably unintentional. Feel free to tweet at me to let me know who I missed. Without further delay, I present to you the 7th Annual Definitive Twitter List for Eagles Fans.
Bleeding Green Nation
Will be at Training Camp:
Brandon Lee Gowton - @BrandonGowton
I’ll be at Eagles training camp every single day. This is my sixth year covering it in person. I tweet live updates from practice and press conferences. I also take plenty of pictures/video along with streaming portions of practice live on BGN’s official Facebook page. Follow me: @BrandonGowton.
Benjamin Solak - @BenjaminSolak
Spoiler alert: staff changes are coming to BGN. Among those is Solak being promoted to Deputy Manager. Ben’s going to be at training camp for the first time ever so he’s a rookie. Follow him for excessive Donnel Pumphrey hype.
Bleeding Green Nation account - @BleedingGreen
Duh.
For all of your sports news.
Won’t be at training camp, but still worth following:
Alexis Chassen - @Lovelybuckeye
Alexis writes about the Ohio State Buckeyes for Land-Grant Holy Land, the NFL for SB Nation, and the Eagles for us here at BGN. She’ll be helping out with news coverage in addition to press conference recaps.
Michael Kist - @MichaelKistNFL
Some would say Kist is almost too knowledgable about football. Others would say he looks like Chris Maragos. Either way, you’re missing out if you don’t follow him.
Dave Mangels - @Southern_Philly
As always, Dave will be making regular contributions to the site. Follow him on Twitter for his expertise in snark (among other things). Make sure you stay off his lawn.
Ben is your favorite BGN draft writer! Arguably the least polarizing staff member.
Tyler has a role in running the BGN Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts. He also makes some of the videos you see on the BGN Facebook Page.
And while you’re at it, add us on Snapchat and Instagram! We’ll have videos and pictures from training camp over there on our official accounts!

Jim does some awesome data posts that are way too smart for me. He’s als known as the golfing buddy of Ron Jaworski.
Matt is always crunching the numbers.
Cody Benjamin - @CodyJBenjamin
Cody’s weekly column has been on break but here’s hoping we see a glorious return.
The new guy at BGN!
You know her from everyone’s favorite BGN series: What They’re Saying!
BGN alumni:
Patrick doesn’t write about the Eagles as much anymore because he’s too busy being the famous drummer of one of the best bands from Philadelphia: Queen of Jeans. He still shares wise Eagles thoughts on Twitter.
I made a deal with Danta Klaus that he has to write at least one post on BGN per year. Until the end of time. He already met his quota in 2018 so anything else will be a pleasant surprise.
We all miss Jonny’s excellent film breakdowns.
Ditto for Sean!
BGN Radio
Will be at Training Camp:
We’ll be breaking down Eagles training camp on our own podcast.
You know him as the co-founder of BGN Radio.
You know him from BGN’s podcast but he also doubles as BGN’s fantasy football writer!
Host of the very popular Counterpoint podcast. Also produces the WIP Evening Show When Jack and I agree on something, which is often, we’re always right.
Vince is a man of many talents, including being the host of the critically acclaimed “Upon Further Review” podcast.
Won’t be at training camp, but still worth following:
Mod over at r/Eagles. Matt also really loves safeties: Earl Thomas, Brian Dawkins, etc. Seriously, though, he’s the most intelligent member of the BGNR crew. He also tweets pictures of his good dog, Zipper.
Trev is the other half of “Don’t Go To The Phones” podcast. Infrequently recorded but always a funny, entertaining, and intelligent listen.
SportsRadio 94WIP
SportsRadio 94WIP - @SportsRadioWIP

WIP afternoon host and good friend of BGN.
Afternoon show. (And former Eagles player.)
Hosts the evening show from 6-10.
Is this even the real Howard Eskin?
WIP program director. Might be related to Howard.
The man behinds WIP’s social media.
Ed’s always grabbing audiovdown at camp.
PhillyVoice
^ Perpetually the biggest hack of all time. ^
Matt sits next to me in the press box during Eagles games. His photoshop skills are very underappreciated.
Joe Santoliquito - @JSantoliquito
A great friend who freelances at a number of outlets.
The former BGNer is back in Philly! He’s still a Penguins fan, which is a problem.
The Athletic
Big summer for Sheil as it’s his first training camp back on the Eagles beat. Questionable opinions on Gatorade flavors. Good opinions on (not) sharing pizza.
Anything I could write about Bo isn’t as clever as what he could come up with. If he sees this entry and makes a suggestion, I’ll add it in here.
I'm the one holding the cracked phone over Bennett's left shoulder in the header image.
