Former Philadelphia Eagles outside linebacker/defensive end Connor Barwin is returning to the NFC East. But it won’t be to play for the team he was with from 2013 through 2016.
Instead, the 31-year-old Barwin will be signing with the New York Giants.
I’m excited to announce I’ve agreed to terms with the New York Football Giants. Let’s go G-Men! #GiantsPride

Barwin is now reunited with former Eagles linebacker coach Bill McGovern, who served on Chip Kelly’s staff from 2013 through 2015. McGovern has been with New York since 2016.
On one hand, we should be glad for Barwin since he’s doing what he loves and is getting paid for it. And, based on the great charity work he’s done, we all know he does good things with his money.
On the other hand, it really sucks that Barwin is now part of a rival organization and we have to root against him.
When Barwin was with Los Angeles last season, he missed the Eagles-Rams game due to injury. The Eagles likely won’t dodge facing the veteran defender this year since they play New York twice.
