PHILADELPHIA EAGLES NOMINEES
The Eagles have been nominated for three awards this year. You can still vote by clicking the links below.
Best Play - The Philly Special
I mean, how can this one not win? Everything about this play is incredible. Doug Pederson having the balls to go for it on 4th-and-goal from 1.5 yards out against one of the best coaches of all-time in Bill Belichick. Nick Foles suggesting the play to Pederson. An undrafted free agent rookie running back taking a direct snap to toss to a third string tight end who would then throw a pass to a backup quarterback. The play even has a great nickname. Should be a no-brainer.
Best Team - Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles went 13-3 and won the Super Bowl despite missing Carson Wentz, Jason Peters, Darren Sproles, Jordan Hicks, and Chris Maragos. They had unreal chemistry. If you’re putting emphasis on the “team” part, the Eagles were an amazing team. It took incredible teamwork to do what they accomplished.
Best Championship Performance - Nick Foles
Foles completed 28 of his 43 passing attempts (65%) for 373 yards (8.7 average), three touchdowns, one interception, and a 106.1 passer rating in the Super Bowl. The one pick wasn’t even his fault as much as it was a tipped ball. It was a spectacular championship performance.
(As a bonus, you can also vote for Zach Ertz’s wife, Julie, to win best female athlete.)
