Eagles decide to hold OTA practice after being disinvited to the White House

Back to work.

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles-OTA Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

We now know what the Philadelphia Eagles will be doing today after being disinvited to the White House by Donald Trump. NFL Network reports the Super Bowl champions will use their free time to hold an OTA practice at the NovaCare Complex.

The Eagles were originally scheduled to have a practice on this day before the possibility of the White House visit came into the picture.

Today’s practice is said to be a Phase 2 workout, which means it won’t be as intensive as a Phase 3 day, which includes full team work such as 11 on 11s.

Tuesday’s practice session will NOT be open to the media. The Eagles’ practices on Wednesday (6/6) and Thursday (6/7) ARE scheduled to have media availability, however.

So instead of traveling down to Washington D.C. to get their photo taken, the Eagles will instead work on preparing for the opportunity to be disinvited again from the White House next year.

Remaining offseason workout schedule

OTA Offseason Workouts: June 5-7.

Mandatory Minicamp: June 12-14.

BGN Coverage: The following practices are open to the media: June 6, June 7, June 12-14. I’ll be at all of those practices. Follow me for live updates: @BrandonGowton.
