Nick Foles comes face-to-face with himself as a back tattoo

The QB will live on in more than just the history books for some Eagles fans.

Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will go down in Philadelphia history for bringing the team and the city their first Lombardi Trophy, and whether he’s here for one more season or five, his legacy will live on forever.

It should come as no surprise that following the decimation of Tom Brady and Co., a host of Eagles fans proceeded to commemorate the incredible win with some permanent ink. Foles spoke about the enthusiasm Eagles fans have for him and the team, and what it was like coming face-to-face with a full back tattoo of himself.

Foles is one of the most humble guys in the NFL, so to see that someone has covered their entire back with a tattoo of him, has to show him what he really means to Philly and fans — whether Carson Wentz is the future of the franchise or not.

And, it wasn’t just back tattoos that feature the QB, some people chose to put their homage on an arm or a leg. Like this gent:

There was a lot of speculation this offseason whether Foles would be traded, but with one year still left on his contract, the team decided to give him a little contract bonus for his MVP effort, and keep him with the Eagles through 2018. It would be naive to think that the QB stays in Philadelphia in the longterm, but it is cool that Andy Reid’s last QB draft pick with the Eagles returned to the city and delivered their first Super Bowl win.

With Pederson being a Reid mentee, it seems like everything came full circle this past season, with the former accomplishing something the latter never could. Now, Foles will not only live on in the history books, but he’ll live on the backs of the fans (literally) for years to come.

Here are some other celebratory tattoos that have made their way around to Eagles fan since that glorious day in February:
