Philadelphia Eagles agree to terms with all five of their 2018 NFL Draft picks

The Philadelphia Eagles have officially agreed to terms on rookie contracts with all of their five picks from the 2018 NFL Draft, according to an announcement from the team. Here’s the full list, as a reminder.

2nd - No. 49 - Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State

4th - No. 125 - Avonte Maddox, CB, Pittsburgh

4th - No. 130 - Josh Sweat, DE, Florida State

6th - No. 206 - Matt Pryor, OT, TCU

7th - No. 233 - Jordan Mailata, OT (Australian rugby league player)

All players have been signed to pre-slotted, four-year deals. The Eagles didn’t make a pick in the first round this year so none of these contracts feature a fifth-year option.

Draft pick signings used to be a bigger issue before the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. Now they’re really just formalities for the most part. Still, it’s nice to see the Eagles got some paperwork out of the way.

These young Eagles players will practice for the first time at the NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia this week as rookie minicamp begins on Friday, May 11.

Here’s a look at the projected cap numbers for all of these players via Over The Cap:

DALLAS GOEDERT

AVONTE MADDOX

JOSH SWEAT

MATT PRYOR

JORDAN MAILATA
