The Philadelphia Eagles signed undrafted rookie free agent Kyle Wilson on Thursday, according to an official announcement from the team.
Super Bowl repeat confirmed.
Jokes aside, Wilson is here to give the Birds more linebacker depth after they lost Paul Worrilow to an ACL injury and released Mychal Kendricks earlier this week.
The Eagles simply needed another body in practice with Jordan Hicks not taking part in team drills just yet. Backups Joe Walker and LaRoy Reynolds also sat out of the Eagles’ first OTA practice.
Wilson participated in the Eagles’ rookie minicamp a couple weeks ago as a tryout player. He attended college at Arkansas State. Wilson finished his collegiate career with 173 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble.
The Eagles are now carrying the following 10 linebackers on their 90-man roster: Jordan Hicks, Nigel Bradham, Corey Nelson, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nate Gerry, Paul Worrilow, Joe Walker, LaRoy Reynolds, Asantay Brown, and Kyle Wilson.
