The Philadelphia Eagles have invited a total of 20 tryout players to the team’s 2018 rookie minicamp which begins today on Friday, May 11.
Keep in mind these players are not officially under contract. They have only been invited to rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Eagles are mostly just looking for extra bodies to fill practice reps this weekend. As you can see below, some of the guys are local players.
The Eagles actually ended up signing two of their rookie tryout players last offseason: Victor Salako and Dane Evans. Salako spent some time on the 2017 practice squad while Evans served as the third string quarterback last summer since Nick Foles missed a lot of time. So it’s possible at least one of these tryout players ends up sticking around for more than just this weekend.
