Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is writing a memoir, according to the Associated Press. NFL writer Dan Pompei is working with Pederson on the publication.
Hachette Books told The Associated Press on Tuesday the book is called “Fearless” and is coming out August 28. According to Hachette, Pederson will look back on his career as a quarterback and assistant coach and tell of the Eagles’ unexpected championship season.
“Fearless” is definitely the most perfect word to describe the man affectionately known as Dougie P. Pederson’s lack of fear is a huge reason why the Eagles were so successful last season. In an NFL coaching climate that’s way too conservative, Pederson’s aggression was a breath of fresh air.
It’ll never not be crazy to me to think how far Pederson has come. He went from being this dude no one wanted the Eagles to hire ... to the first head coach to bring a Vince Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.
Pederson’s memoir should be an interesting read. Same goes for the memoir that Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles is also releasing this summer.
Doug Pederson's one-handed beer catch is almost as good as Nick Foles' TD catch
