Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
The 49ers just paid Jimmy Garoppolo 120 million dollars, so they need to surround him with some pass catchers now.
Ridley is Amari Cooper 2.0, he is a crisp and quick route runner who gives the 49ers a legit pass-catching trio alongside Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin. This gives Garropolo a stable of weapons to throw to, along with young up and coming tight end George Kittle, and new RB Jerrick McKinnon, the 49ers offense can take a big step forward next year.
They also now can use the rest of the draft to address defense, they could grab a Josh Sweat or a Duke Ejiofor in round 2 to fill their EDGE need and could grab a prospect like Jerome Baker in round 3 to fill their LB need.
Ridley also gives Jimmy G a young receiver to grow with and develop chemistry with so they can be a dynamic duo for years to come. Garcon and Goodwin are just short-term fixes at WR, Ridley can be a long-term one.
