Joe Douglas, the Eagles’ top scout, has climbed the ranks to become one of the NFL’s top talent evaluators - Daily News
Eagles owner Jeff Lurie can offer Douglas more money, but unless Lurie is willing to kick top executive Howie Roseman upstairs, he can’t really give Douglas any more power. “I don’t think there’s any doubt that he’s going to be at the top of the list for a lot of teams looking for a GM in the future,” said NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock. Said Savage: “He’s certainly going to be on a short list going forward, because I think the Eagles are going to continue to win, and win at a high level. When you’re a part of an organization that wins a Super Bowl, there are going to be opportunities.” Nobody knows that better than Savage, who parlayed the Ravens’ 2000 Super Bowl title into a GM job with the Cleveland Browns.

The Eagles’ top 10 options with their first-round draft pick - PhillyVoice
The 2018 running back class is absolutely stacked, as it was a year ago, particularly with guys likely to land in rounds 1 through 3. Obviously, the Eagles currently don’t have any picks in the rounds 2 or 3, making a premier running back prospect a possibility in round 1. The three who might be available are LSU’s Derrius Guice, Georgia’s Sony Michel, and USC’s Ronald Jones. Guice is a violent runner, Michel is a classic do-everything three down back, and Jones is a home run hitting speed demon. All three would make sense in the Eagles’ offense.

Eagles Ponder Options For Day 1 Of Draft - PE.com
As the Eagles burn up the phone lines talking with every team in the NFL and as the personnel department final, final, finalizes its draft board and as coaches continue to watch video of college prospects just for some last-minute knowledge, the reality is that the team has three very real options on Thursday night: 1. Stay at 32 and take the best player ...

McShay’s draft buzz: Everything I’m hearing on top prospects, teams - ESPN In$ider
Mike Hughes, CB, UCF - Multiple teams have asked me about him. On tape, he’s a top-15 or top-20 pick (he’s my 18th-ranked prospect), but teams are trying to sort through some off-field baggage. He’s a player with a wide range in selection, probably from 20 to 40, but it has nothing to do with his talent on the field.

Ranking the edge defender prospects for the 2018 NFL Draft - PFF
1. Harold Landry, Boston College. If Landry came out a season ago, he may very well have been a top-10 pick. His high end as a pass-rusher is as dominant as anyone we’ve graded at the college level not named Bosa or Garrett. We can forgive an injury-riddled 2017 when athleticism is such a big part of Landry’s game.

The Philadelphia Eagles 2017 Third Down Manual - The Peters Report
The Philadelphia Eagles 2017 Third Down Manual will give readers a thorough analysis of the different concepts the Eagles used in critical situations during their Superbowl run. The Eagles found success on third downs with a variety of schemes, incorporating endless variations of their core concepts. Within each concept, the Eagles ran different versions from week to week to prevent the defense from picking up on tendencies. The best example of this is the H Post concept. The Eagles ran seven different versions in the eight occasions they called the concept.

Raiders add former third round pick CB Daryl Worley, college teammate of Karl Joseph - Silver And Black Pride
Even with free agency now 5 weeks since it started and the draft just days away, the Raiders are still busy adding players. Today the team announced they have added free agent cornerback Daryl Worley. The former third round pick (77 overall) is entering his third NFL season out of West Virginia where he was teammates with Raiders safety Karl Joseph. Both players were selected in the 2016 draft, Joseph in the first round at 14 overall.

The 5 Levels of NFL Draft Hell - SB Nation
The banality of most jargon, in making sure to hide reality behind doublespeak, inevitably escalates to lightly coded bigotry. Jargon lets old prejudices and racist tropes run amok, disguised as sporting truths. To help untangle these euphemisms, we created a glossary to decode NFL evaluations, separated by levels of nefariousness that even Dante would appreciate. And in that spirit, let us take you on a journey ...
