Hold on to your butts, folks, because the entire 2018 NFL schedule will officially be revealed later this week on Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 PM Eastern. (One week before the 2018 NFL Draft begins.)
We already know which teams the Philadelphia Eagles will play this season. The schedule release will inform us of the exact dates and times.
One of the things we already know about the Eagles’ schedule is that they’ll play at home in the 2018 NFL Kickoff Game to open the regular season on Thursday, September 6. This game is always reserved for the defending Super Bowl champions. It’s been reported that the Eagles will play the Minnesota Vikings that night.
Another thing we know is that the Eagles will play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. That game will take place in either Week 7 (October 21) or Week 8 (October 28). Philadelphia’s bye will likely occur the week after that game.
Here’s a reminder of all 13 teams the Eagles will play this year.
HOME: Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings
AWAY: Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams
And here’s a reminder of the Eagles’ 2018 preseason schedule, which was announced last week.
Week 1 - Pittsburgh Steelers (HOME) — August 9-13
Week 2 - New England Patriots (AWAY) — August 16-20
Week 3 - Cleveland Browns (AWAY) — Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX
Week 4 - New York Jets (HOME) — August 30-31
Some of the 2018 schedule information will likely leak before the 8:00 PM announcement, so stay tuned here to Bleeding Green Nation for the latest news and rumors. We’ll have full coverage of the schedule release as soon as it’s revealed.
Get your meaningless record predictions ready! (Warning: if it’s not 19-0, it’s wrong.)
