Doug Pederson is not messing around.

The Philadelphia EaglesSuper Bowl winning head coach set the tone early as the team began their offseason workout program today.

We’re starting this season over.

We’re starting from ground zero, day one.

Sacrifice, man.

The season is going to be here before you know it.

Every team is talented.

What are you willing to give up?

If you want to hold up that [Vince Lombardi] trophy again, and not be that one and done team?

Now that’s the time to put in the work. Get better today.

The new norm? Remember, we talked about that at the end of the year.

Guess what? The new normal starts today.

You gotta love it.

As a reminder, here’s the “new normal” quote Pederson referenced in his post-Super Bowl victory message to the team earlier this year.

I told them, I said, “Get used to this. This is the new norm in Philadelphia, playing and hopefully playing into February every year. It’s the new norm, so get used to it. Short off-seasons and let’s do that.”

The NFL hasn’t seen a repeat Super Bowl champion since 2005. Pederson is sending the right message by telling his guys they’ll have to work extremely hard to defend their title.

In other Eagles offseason workout news, the following players will have press conferences starting around 1:20 PM ET tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16: Carson Wentz, Zach Ertz, Malcolm Jenkins, Jordan Hicks.
