New details have emerged regarding the arrest of former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley on Sunday morning, April 15.
Worley is facing a total of six charges: driving under the influence, carrying firearms without a license, carrying firearms in public, possessing instrument of crime with intent, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct for engaging in fighting. He posted a $25,000 bond and has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for May 1.
More context:
One of the firearms charges against Daryl Worley is a felony, I am told, but we'll see how that goes through the plea process, etc.

Worley’s attorney had the following to say:
Daryl Worley's attorney, Fortunato Perri Jr., told Inquirer-Daily News reporter Chris Palmer that he is "still reviewing the circumstances" of Worley's arrest, and "we're hopeful that we can resolve this matter so he can resume his career in the NFL."

The Eagles officially cut Worley about eight hours after the news of his arrest was made public. Philadelphia originally acquired Worley in a trade with the Carolina Panthers a mere 37 days prior to his release.
After being cut by the Eagles, Worley is subject to waivers. Some team desperate for cornerback help might take a chance on the 2016 third-round pick. If Worley goes unclaimed, he’ll be free to sign with any team.
Worley isn’t necessarily in the clear even if he avoids legal punishment for the alleged incident. He’s still subject to discipline via the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
The Eagles won’t have to worry themselves with the Worley fallout now that he is no longer employed by the team.
