Central Arkansas cornerback Tremon Smith is one of 30 2018 NFL Draft prospects who will meet with the Eagles in Philadelphia for an official pre-draft visit, according to me.

Smith measures in at 6-0, 190 pounds.
The Anniston, Alabama native was pretty productive in his four years at the Division I FCS level. He finished his college career with 146 total tackles, 53 passes defensed, 15 interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one sack.
Smith also contributed as a punt returner. He scored one touchdown and averaged 7.6 yards on 38 tries.
Smith mostly played at outside cornerback in college but he told Full Press Coverage that he often practiced in the slot.
I would actually practice and do my one on one in the slots just because my position coach was always telling me I would end up playing nickel. I actually like it a little better than playing on the outside and I am familiar with it from practicing it.
Though the Eagles already have a lot of talented youth at corner, they still could afford to address the nickel position. As of right now, Jalen Mills figures to be the guy manning the slot. It wouldn’t hurt for Philadelphia to add more competition and depth. Not to mention someone who could compete as a punt returner, which is also a need for the Eagles depending on the status of Darren Sproles’ potential return.
Smith projects to be a late Day 3 pick or a priority undrafted free agent. The fact that the Eagles are bringing in him for a visit could help their chances of signing him if he doesn’t get drafted.
