So, remember that thing about the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl parade being held on Wednesday? Strike that. The parade is now scheduled to be on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, per an official announcement from the city.
The City of Philadelphia will host a parade this Thursday for our 2018 Super Bowl Champions! Go Eagles! The parade will tentatively start at 11 a.m. at Broad & Pattison, heading north to the Art Museum. Further info will be announced Tuesday at 9 a.m. #FlyEaglesFly #EaglesParade— City of Philadelphia (@PhiladelphiaGov) February 5, 2018
It’s possible the original plan was pushed back due to weather concerns. There’s a 100% chance of rain/snow on Wednesday, per Weather.com. Eagles fans are so dedicated that they’d stand out in elements anyway, but moving it back a day makes things safer for everyone.
There is a 0% chance of precipitation on Thursday. The forecast says it’s going to be sunny with a high of 34 degrees.
The start time for the parade is tentatively set at 11:00 AM Eastern. The parade route is reportedly set to start at Broad and Pattison (right near the Eagles’ headquarters at the NovaCare Complex) and continue up to the Art Museum.
A Super Bowl parade down Broad Street (or “up” Broad Street in this case) is all Eagles fans have ever dreamed of. And it’s really happening.
We’ll all get to watch as the entire Eagles team puts the first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history on display.
I’ll be at the parade, along with the rest of the Bleeding Green Nation and BGN Radio crews. Hopefully I’ll see you there.
