The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced their inactives list for their Super Bowl LII matchup against the New England Patriots.

There are no surprises on the list.

Tim Jernigan, Nelson Agholor, and Ronald Darby are all notably active despite dealing with illness leading up to the game. On Saturday, Doug Pederson said they’re all feeling much better.

Veteran linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is ACTIVE for the Super Bowl after missing the NFC Championship Game due to a hamstring injury. I can’t imagine the Eagles will be playing a lot of base defense against New England, but if/when they do, Ellerbe is poised to be the middle linebacker.

Eagles rookie cornerback Sidney Jones is INACTIVE once again. This doesn’t come as a surprise since he missed the Eagles’ first two playoff games, but I figured I’d point it out since people ask about him.

Philadelphia Eagles Inactive List

CB Sidney Jones - Depth cornerback.

DT Destiny Vaeao - Depth defensive tackle.

WR Marcus Johnson - Depth wide receiver.

DT Elijah Qualls - Depth defensive tackle.

DE Steven Means - Depth defensive end.

RB Wendell Smallwood - Fifth string running back.

OT Will Beatty - Depth offensive tackle.

New England Patriots Inactive List

There are no surprise inactives for the Patriots. New England entered this game with no players listed on their final injury report.

Therefore, Rob Gronkowski is indeed active for this game despite dealing with a concussion leading up to this matchup.

Patriots inactives: RB Mike Gillislee, DL Alan Branch, LB David Harris, OL Cole Croston, WR Kenny Britt, TE Jacob Hollister, PR Bernard Reedy.
