Super Bowl LII is finally HERE! The Philadelphia Eagles will face the New England Patriots tonight in the final game of the 2018 NFL playoffs schedule.

It’s been a long two-week wait leading up to this point. After seeing the Patriots emerge as AFC Champions by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Eagles punched their ticket to the big game by demolishing the Minnesota Vikings. And now the Eagles are playing on the Vikings’ home field: U.S. Bank Stadium.

For the Patriots, making the Super Bowl is a routine activity. Off the top of my head, I can’t even tell you how many times they’ve been here now. That’s not the case for the Eagles, who are playing in their third Super Bowl in franchise history. And in case you didn’t know, Philadelphia has never won a Super Bowl before. So today is kind of a big deal.

The Eagles are underdogs in this game. That’s no different to them since their opponents have been favored in every playoff game so far. Philly has been at their most dangerous when people have counted them out. They’ve proved their doubters wrong at every turn, so it shouldn’t be easy to pick against them yet again.

With that said, the Patriots obviously present a formidable challenge due to having one of the best quarterbacks, Tom Brady, and one of the best head coaches, Bill Belichick, of all-time. The Eagles, meanwhile, are starting a backup under center in Nick Foles and being led by second-year head coach and ice cream lover Doug Pederson.

Pederson has done a masterful job in his first two playoff games. The Eagles will need another strong outing from him today to pull off the ‘upset.’

There’s plenty of reason to believe the Eagles can get it done. They dominate in the trenches, they have talent and depth all over the roster, and the coaching is strong on both sides of the ball.

But it doesn’t matter what Philly brings to the table on paper. It’s time for the Eagles to prove themselves on the field today.

Here is all the information you need to know for Super Bowl Sunday.
