Carson Wentz gets loud cheers at Philadelphia 76ers game

NBA: Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was the special guest bell ringer ahead of the 76ers’ home game against the Orlando Magic on Saturday evening.

As you would expect, the Eagles’ franchise quarterback received loud cheers from the fans in the stands.

There’s been no shortage of brotherly love for the Birds at Sixers games this year. Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith received a lot of attention during a game they attended on the Friday after the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

The Sixers, by the way, are undefeated since the Eagles won the Lombardi Trophy. They are also undefeated when Wentz publicly attends their games dating back to last year (2-0). That’s not something that has been lost on Sixers head coach Brett Brown.

Here are some more scenes from Saturday night:

Now, this is all well and good, but why is Wentz spending time at a basketball game when he could be rehabbing?!

Just kidding. Good to see him having some fun in the offseason.
