Before the fourteenth Sunday of the 2018 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for today’s games. (Click here for NFL Week 14 picks without regard to the spread.)

Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds. You can find all of today’s NFL betting lines and over/unders via SB Nation’s odds page. My season record so far is 89-100-3 after going 8-8 last week. Only four more weeks to go in the regular season.

NFL Week 14 Games

Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5): The Ravens are 3-0 with Lamar Jackson under center but the rookie quarterback isn’t going to be able to keep pace with Pat Mahomes, who has scored 43 touchdowns this season. PICK: Chiefs -6.5

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (-4.5): The Texans are good. Are they 10 wins in a row good? I’m still not convinced. Indy seems poised to bounce back after getting shut out last week. I think Frank Reich’s team will at least cover this spread. PICK: Colts +4.5

Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers (-4.5): Maybe the Packers will look better with Mike McCarthy out of the way? Possible, thought it’s not exactly like Joe Philbin being in charge is inspiring. The Packers are pretty trash but Atlanta is so banged up and I don’t love taking a dome team to beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau in cold weather. PICK: Packers -4.5

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-4): The Bills kicked the crap out of the Jets the last time these two teams played a few weeks ago, 41-10. I don’t see the reason for picking the Jets to win in Buffalo this time. PICK: Bills -4

New York Giants (-3) at Washington Redskins: The Giants being without Odell Beckham Jr. makes this pick a little bit less of a no-brainer but not by a ton. The G-Men still figure to be the easy pick here given Washington is SO banged up. I mean, they’re starting Mark Sanchez under center. Also Washington is playing on a short week. PICK: Giants -3

New Orleans Saints (-10) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Remember when the Bucs defeated the Saints all the way back in Week 1? Long time ago and not going to happen again. New Orleans will bounce back after having extra rest to contemplate their disappointing loss in Dallas. Tampa’s league worst defense is going to get shredded. PICK: Saints -10

New England Patriots (-8.5) at Miami Dolphins: Tom Brady is 1-4 in his last five trips to Miami. His 7-9 overall record in South Beach represents the only losing record he has on the road. Maybe the Pats win here but I’ll say the Dolphins, who are fighting for a wild card spot, at least find a way to cover. PICK: Dolphins +8.5

Carolina Panthers (-1) at Cleveland Browns: The fraud Panthers have lost four in a row. Their struggles might not end this week since Cam Newton is banged up and Greg Olsen is out. PICK: Browns +1

Denver Broncos (-3.5) at San Francisco 49ers: It’s silly the Broncos aren’t favored by more. Denver ranks fifth overall in DVOA. San Fran is 31st. The Broncos are the easy bet. PICK: Broncos -3.5

Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Chargers (-15): The Chargers’ history of choking makes me skeptical about this large spread. Not to mention Marvin Lewis’ ability to inexplicably save his job time after time. But Cincy is just so bad that I can’t take them. And the Bolts may be more legit than ever? PICK: Chargers -15

Detroit Lions (-3) at Arizona Cardinals: The Cards stink but are the Lions really any better? I’ll take the home team getting the points in this scenario. PICK: Cardinals +3

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5): Maybe this is bad logic but I just can’t see the Cowboys sweeping the Eagles this year. Philadelphia needs this game so much more than Dallas does. It’s really hard to have a lot of trust in this Eagles team but I’ll throw caution to the wind and take the reigning Super Bowl champs with the points. PICK: Eagles +3.5

Pittsburgh Steelers (-9.5) at Oakland Raiders: There’s something I don’t trust about the Steelers in this spot, so I’d stay away, but I can’t possibly pick the Raiders. PICK: Steelers -9.5

Los Angeles Rams (-3) at Chicago Bears: It’ll be interesting to see how Chicago’s defense holds up against the Rams’ offense. I’m hesitant to take the Bears because I’m still just not in on Mitchell Trubisky. PICK: Rams -3

Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks (-3): Kirk Cousins is 4-22 against teams that finish the season with 9-plus wins and 8-25 against teams that finish the season with 8-plus wins. How could you trust him to beat a good Seahawks team in Seattle? I know he won at CenturyLink Field last season but I don’t see it happening again. PICK: Seahawks -3
