The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins.
The following seven players have been ruled OUT: Carson Wentz, Sidney Jones, Isaac Seumalo, Mike Wallace, D.J. Alexander, Bruce Hector, Shelton Gibson
Wentz, Jones, Seumalo, Wallace, and Alexander were ruled out on Friday.
Nick Foles will obviously start in place of Wentz. Former Washington draft pick Nate Sudfeld will be Foles’ backup.
Jones being out means Rasul Douglas and Avonte Maddox will likely start at cornerback with Cre’Von LeBlanc working in the slot.
Stefen Wisniewski will start his third straight game at left guard with Seumalo out.
Wallace hasn’t played since Week 2. He might be able to return to the field if/when the Eagles make the playoffs.
Alexander will miss his second game in a row. His absence hurts special teams depth.
Hector is a healthy scratch once again.
Here’s a small surprise: Gibson is a healthy scratch for the first time this season. Not a good look for the 2017 fifth-round pick. It’s been a very disappointing season for him.
Jordan Hicks, Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, and Michael Bennett are all ACTIVE despite being ruled questionable to play on the Eagles’ final injury report. That’s good news for Philly. We’ll see how long Peters is able to last into the game.
Rookie offensive lineman Matt Pryor is active for the first time in his career.
