Nick Foles deserves a lot of credit for being able to take a huge shot from Jadeveon Clowney, only miss one snap, and then come back in to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a game-winning drive over the Houston Texans.
Foles wasn’t the only Eagles player who demonstrated remarkable toughness on Sunday, though. Check out what Eagles nickel cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc was playing through:
You want to know what mental toughness is?? Early in 3rd quarter Cre’von LeBlanc broke a finger on his right hand.. it was at a 90 degree angle. Bone sticking thru the skin. They popped it back in place. Taped it up. He played the rest of the game. #truegrit

OUCH.
Despite dealing with this injury, LeBlanc played 41 defensive snaps in Week 16. He also played 12 special teams snaps. Just another reminder that football players are wayyyyy tougher than most of us.
LeBlanc’s been a good in-season addition for the Eagles this year. He’s been solid in the slot.
For those who don’t remember, Philadelphia claimed LeBlanc off waivers after the Lions cut him in early November. That transaction took place within a week of the Golden Tate trade. So, it’s almost like the Eagles traded a 2019 third-round pick for Tate and LeBlanc. Totally worth it now! (Not really.)
LeBlanc is under contract for the 2019 season so the Eagles could easily bring him back to compete for a roster spot next year.
