Eagles vs. Texans Game Predictions

Which side will win?

In Week 14, I predicted the Eagles to beat the Cowboys. I was wrong.

In Week 15, I predicted the Eagles to lose decisively to the Rams. I was wrong again.

In Week 16, I am predicting the Eagles will defeat the Houston Texans. I am really tempting fate, aren’t I?

I just have a good feeling about the Eagles in this game. I’ve been saying all year that the Texans aren’t as great as their record indicates.

The Eagles simply need this game more. They’re fighting to stay alive in the playoffs. The Texans are fighting for the luxury of seeding.

The mismatch that is Philadelphia’s defensive line versus Houston’s offensive line gives one a lot of reason to believe in the Eagles. That’s one team’s biggest strength versus another’s biggest weakness. The Eagles should be able to make life difficult on Deshaun Watson.

Offensively, Nick Foles should be able to do enough to get the Eagles through another game. This matchup should be tougher for him than last week. It’s not like the Eagles can just count on running the ball efficiently against the league’s top rush defense. Philly’s offensive line will need to come up big again and there’s reason to believe they can based on recent weeks.

I think the Eagles win this game today. I also think the Vikings beat the Lions, unfortunately. Then it all comes down to Week 17.
