The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The biggest change from yesterday’s injury report is that Lane Johnson was upgraded to being a full participant after missing Wednesday’s session due to personal reasons.
Everything else is mostly the same, including Carson Wentz not practicing once again. Wentz is reportedly dealing with a fracture in his back. The third-year quarterback did attend practice after not being seen at Wednesday’s session.
Doug Pederson will be questioned more about Wentz’s status during his Friday morning press conference. One would assume he might officially confirm Nick Foles as the Eagles’ starter for the Rams game.
Elsewhere on the injury report, it looks like there’s a good chance Jordan Hicks, Timmy Jernigan, Sidney Jones, and Isaac Seumalo will not play in Los Angeles. Michael Bennett will probably play because the 33-year-old has been suiting up despite not practicing much in recent weeks.
Rookie defensive back Avonte Maddox has a chance to return this week after being limited for the second day in a row. That’d be nice to see, though the Eagles’ secondary is probably in for a long day against the Rams regardless.
Shelton Gibson is a new addition to the injury report. He was limited on Thursday.
UPDATE: Welp, I missed this originally: Jordan Mailata also did not practice on Thursday. He’s having back issues as well.
