Eagles breaking out black jerseys for Week 10 Cowboys game

Back in black!

NFL: Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

It’s a big game for the Philadelphia Eagles this week. The reigning Super Bowl champions have the opportunity to advance to 5-4 while dropping the Dallas Cowboys to 3-6. All while playing in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football.

As you if needed any more reminders that this week’s matchup is a big deal, the Eagles are breaking out their alternate all-black uniforms for this one.

The Eagles are typically allowed to wear their alternate uniforms twice per season. They won both games at Lincoln Financial Field when they wore all-black last year; Week 9 against the Denver Broncos and Week 16 against the Oakland Raiders. The Eagles also won two out of three all-black uniform games in 2016 with wins over the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants (Color Rush uniform) and a loss to the Green Bay Packers. Overall, that’s 4-1 in their last five black jersey games.

Here’s to making it 5-1 on Sunday night.
