Week 13 of the 2018 NFL season officially kicks off tonight.
Tonight’s game features the Dallas Cowboys (6-5) and the New Orleans Saints (10-1).
This is obviously a big matchup as far as the Philadelphia Eagles as concerned. A Cowboys loss will drop them to 6-6 on the season. If the Eagles can then beat the Redskins on Monday Night Football, Philadelphia and Dallas will both be 6-6 heading into Week 14’s showdown between those two NFC East teams.
If the Cowboys somehow win this one, well, that’d suck, but all hope will not be lost for the Eagles. Philadelphia would still be first in the NFC East if they can beat both Washington and Dallas in their next two games. Both teams would be 7-6 and the Eagles would have a divisional record tie-breaker over the Cowboys with three games left to play.
Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. It’d be much nicer to see the Saints beat the crap out of the Cowboys on national television.
