Eagles practice squad player signed by Colts

Two vacant spots on the PS now.

The Philadelphia Eagles are losing a practice squad member to the Indianapolis Colts. NFL insider Mike Garafolo reports offensive lineman Josh Andrews is expected to sign with Indy since Colts starting center Ryan Kelly recently suffered a knee injury.

Andrews overlapped with former Eagles offensive coordinator and current Colts head coach Frank Reich (missin u) in Philadelphia from 2016-2017.

Andrews originally left the Eagles to sign with the Minnesota Vikings (John DeFilippo connection) shortly after Philadelphia won the Super Bowl. He was waived during final cuts and ended up signing to the Eagles’ practice squad on September 25.

Losing Andrews isn’t a huge deal but the timing isn’t super great with starting center Jason Kelce getting banged up in the Eagles’ Week 11 game. The good news is that Doug Pederson said Kelce will be fine to play in Week 12.

The Eagles now have two vacant practice squad spots following Andrews’ departure and De’Vante Bausby’s recent promotion to the 53-man roster. Philadelphia could look to add a defensive back (or two) given all the injuries at that position. And maybe another offensive lineman to help replace Andrews.

Here’s an updated look at the Eagles’ practice squad:

TE Will Tye

DT Bruce Hector

RB Donnel Pumphrey

LB B.J. Bello

LB Asantay Brown

WR Braxton Miller

WR Dorren Miller

DE Joe Ostman
