The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced a minor roster move on the Friday during their bye week. Defensive tackle Bruce Hector is now back on the practice squad.
Hector was waived by the Eagles earlier this week in order to make room for Golden Tate on the 53-man roster.
The Eagles did not need to free up a spot for Hector on the practice squad since they already had a vacancy after promoting Chandon Sullivan to the 53-man last week. Despite this, Philadelphia cut Winston Craig from the practice squad anyway.
So, for those counting at home, the Eagles still have one vacant practice squad to fill out.
The Eagles felt comfortable waiving Hector with Haloti Ngata returning to the field in Week 8. There’s also some buzz that Tim Jernigan’s return might be around the corner, which would be huge.
Here’s an updated look at the Eagles’ practice squad:
DT Bruce Hector
RB Donnel Pumphrey
LB B.J. Bello
