The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their Week 10 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The following seven players have been ruled OUT: Lane Johnson, Darren Sproles, Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones, Nate Sudfeld, Deiondre’ Hall, and Matt Pryor.
Johnson’s absence is surprising considering there was an expectation that he’d play despite the fact he has a torn MCL and a high ankle sprain. Johnson being out means Halapoulivaati Vaitai will start at right tackle. Big V has a tough task ahead of him as he tries to contain dangerous Dallas pass rusher Demarcus Lawrence. The Eagles have also decided to keep Jordan Mailata active with Johnson being out.
Sproles’ absence means the Eagles are down to just Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, and Corey Clement at running back. Adams led Philadelphia in carries in Week 8, though Smallwood had the lead in total touches. It’ll be interesting to see how the workload is split up tonight.
Mills being out means Rasul Douglas will start at right cornerback with Ronald Darby moving over to the left side. It remains to be seen who’ll start in the slot with Jones out. It could be new acquisition Cre’Von LeBlanc. Or it could some other secondary shakeup.
Corey Graham and Nathan Gerry are both active for the first time since Week 5.
With Graham returning, backup safety Deiondre’ Hall is a healthy scratch. The Eagles traded a conditional seventh-round pick for this guy right before Week 1.
New Eagles defensive tackle T.Y. McGill is active.
