Eagles Injury Report: Updates on Lane Johnson, Jason Peters, Jalen Mills, more

Update on Philadelphia’s injury situation.

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers.

As expected, Carson Wentz returned as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. You can relax now, you worry-warts.

Jason Peters and Derek Barnett were also upgraded from limited to full. That certainly bodes well for their playing chances on Sunday.

Lane Johnson was upgraded to being a limited participant after not practicing at all yesterday. The Eagles are managing his workload to ensure he’ll be ready to start on Sunday.

Six of the seven players who didn’t practice on Wednesday also didn’t practice on Thursday: running back Darren Sproles, cornerback Sidney Jones, cornerback Rasul Douglas, safety Corey Graham, linebacker Nathan Gerry, and linebacker D.J. Alexander.

All of those players seem likely to be out on Sunday, except for Douglas. The second-year defensive back recently posted on Instagram that his grandmother passed away (RIP) so it seems like he’s been missing practice for family reasons.

Haloti Ngata was still limited in practice as he deals with a calf issue. If he can’t play, the Eagles will be down to just Fletcher Cox and Treyvon Hester when it comes to full-time defensive tackles on the 53-man roster.

Jalen Mills is a new addition to the injury report. After being full go on Wednesday, he was limited on Thursday due to a hamstring issue. Hopefully it’s not serious because the Eagles are already thin in the secondary. It’ll be interesting to see what his status is after Friday’s practice.

Here’s a fun non-injury practice note:
