The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their Week 6 game against the New York Giants.
The great news for Philly is that Lane Johnson is ACTIVE despite being added to the injury report earlier on Thursday. It was said that Johnson was going to have an up-hill battle to play but he’s going to tough it out. If Johnson has to leave the game early, it’ll be Halapoulivaati Vaitai filling at right tackle. If Jason Peters then also has to leave the game early, it could be Isaac Seumalo who shifts out to tackle with Stefen Wisniewski coming back in to play left guard.
The following players have been ruled OUT: Darren Sproles, Corey Graham, Haloti Ngata, Nathan Gerry, D.J. Alexander, Matt Pryor, and Jordan Mailata.
Sproles, Graham, Ngata, Gerry, and D.J. Alexander were all ruled out on Wednesday. They’re all injured.
Corey Clement (who is playing for the first time since Week 3), Wendell Smallwood, and Josh Adams will split touches at running back with Sproles out and Jay Ajayi done for the season. Clement and Smallwood figure to share the bulk of the workload.
Graham’s absence means the Eagles will have just Malcolm Jenkins, Avonte Maddox (a rookie corner playing out of position), Deiondre’ Hall, and the recently promoted Tre Sullivan at safety.
Ngata being out means the Eagles are down to just Fletcher Cox, Destiny Vaeao, and Treyvon Hester at defensive tackle. Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham can also play on the inside as well.
Chance Warmack is active for the first time all year since the Eagles are so injured.
The Eagles usually keep Nate Sudfeld inactive but he’ll be up due to the injuries as well.
