The Philadelphia Eagles made a small change to their practice squad ahead of their Divisional Round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Eagles took safety Harold Jones-Quartey off the “practice squad injured list” and put him back on the active 10-man practice squad. This means he can, you know, actually practice with the team once again.
In order to make room for HJQ, the Eagles cut undrafted rookie defensive tackle Winston Craig. Craig was added to the practice squad late in the season.
This roster move doesn’t change a lot for the team in the short-term, although I guess it gives them a little more safety depth. And it does probably guarantee that Philadelphia will win the Super Bowl.
But for real, the team seems to like Jones-Quartey for the future. He’s a former Bears player with a connection to Joe Douglas. Someone to keep an eye on in offseason practices this year.
