The Philadelphia Eagles did not practice on Wednesday but they were required by the NFL to release an estimated injury report.
The great news is that no Eagles players were listed as “did not practice.”
Only one player was listed as a “limited participant.” That was veteran linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, who has been dealing with a hamstring issue. Ellerbe was held out of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings after being limited in practice last week.
With plenty of time left before the Super Bowl game actually takes place on Sunday, Feb. 4, it’s quite possible Ellerbe will be ready to play by then. He’s expected to get playing time as the middle linebacker in Philadelphia’s 4-3 base defense. That’s probably good news because his replacement, Najee Goode, gave up a touchdown in the Vikings game.
The only other player listed on the Eagles’ injury report was Jay Ajayi, who was estimated to be a “full participant” due to his ankle. He’s previously been listed with his knee.
Nick Foles was notably not listed on the Eagles’ injury report after undergoing precautionary X-rays on his ribs following the NFC Championship Game.
The Eagles will hold their first practice leading up to the Super Bowl on Thursday. Then they’ll practice in Philadelphia again on Friday and Saturday before traveling to Minnesota this weekend.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)
The Patriots also didn’t practice on Wednesday.
The most noteworthy name on their estimated injury report is Rob Gronkowski, who “did not participate” due to a concussion suffered in the AFC Championship Game. Gronk will likely be cleared before the Super Bowl, but we’ll see.
Defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. was a surprise appearance on the Patriots’ injury report due to a concussion. Wise has played the fourth most snaps of any New England defensive lineman this season at 51.3%.
Defensive tackle Malcom Brown, running back Mike Gillislee, and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle were all “limited participants” on Wednesday. Gillislee and Waddle missed the Patriots-Jaguars game due to their injuries.
Tom Brady was notably not listed on the Patriots’ injury report after dealing with a mysterious hand injury last week.
