The Eagles might be underdogs heading into the big game, but not everyone is picking against them, including Amazon’s smart home device, Alexa. Stating nothing but facts, it’s hard to argue against Alexa’s reasons for choosing the Philadelphia Eagles to best the New England Patriots on Super Bowl Sunday.
When asked who will win the Super Bowl, Alexa is all-in.
“I’m flying with the Eagles on this one, because of their relentless defense and the momentum they’ve been riding off their underdog status. E-A-G-L-E-S. Eagles.”

It isn’t just a Philly thing, either. Some might have expected an Alexa in New England to have a different answer based on location, but it turns out that the smart home device is not a fickle fan, and stayed consistent with her Eagles pick even in enemy territory.
Actually, one of my kids checked with a friend in Boston. Got same prediction. Honesty always is the best policy, even for artificial intelligence. https://t.co/d9Wk3mlheu

And while Alexa choosing the Eagles won’t affect their underdog status, it’s good to know someone whose name is as close to mine is rooting for the Good Guys.
Although, that might not be such a great thing given Alexa’s pick for last year’s Super Bowl.
FYI, Alexa picked the Falcons last year.
