Despite being ruled questionable on Minnesota’s final injury report, Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will reportedly suit up for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport says Thielen is set to play “despite being in plenty of pain” due to a lower back injury.
Thielen, who leads the Vikings in receiving yards, is a very good player when healthy. But one can question if his effectiveness will be hampered by this latest injury. Back issues are no joke. Thielen sat out of practice entirely on Wednesday before being limited on Thursday and Friday.
In other injury news, Rapoport also says Vikings slot cornerback Mackensie Alexander (rib) and starting safety Andrew Sendejo (concussion) are set to play. No big surprises there.
Veteran linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was the only Eagles player listed on Philadelphia’s injury report. He’s expected to play despite being ruled questionable, but we’ll see for sure when the official Eagles-Vikings inactives are announced around 5:10 PM ET.
